Connecting Your Bank with Plaid

To safely establish a connection between your bank and Arro and encrypt your in-transit information, we work with our account connection partner, Plaid (www.Plaid.com). Plaid is a third-party service that allows Arro members to connect their Arro accounts with external bank accounts and other financial apps.

We use your bank data, including income, bank balance, and transaction history, to help approve you for the Arro Card. Applicants don’t need credit history in order to apply for the Arro Card because we use your bank data to help approve you.

Since we use Plaid, we don’t need to store your banking credentials on our servers.

How to Link Your Bank Account

We partner with Plaid, which is a secure financial technology platform that allows you to safely connect your bank account to Arro.

Step-by-Step Process:

During the application process, you'll be prompted to link a bank account

  1. Select Your Bank
    • Search for your bank in the Plaid interface
    • Select your bank from the list of supported institutions
  2. Provide Credentials
    • Enter your online banking username and password.
    • These credentials are handled directly by Plaid and are not stored by Arro.
    • You may need to complete two-factor authentication if required by your bank.
  3. Choose an Account
    • Select the specific checking account you wish to link.
    • Review the account details to ensure it's the correct account.
  4. Confirmation
    • Once linked, you'll receive a confirmation in the app

Accounts We Cannot Accept

The following types of accounts cannot be linked to Arro:

  • Accounts not in your name
  • Accounts from other brokerage firms
  • Investment accounts or money market accounts
  • Prepaid cards or gift cards

Can't find your Bank

If you don't see your bank on Plaid's list, you can perform a search by tapping in the Search box located at the top of the page and entering your bank name.

If you still can’t find your bank, you won’t be able to add it at this time, but we’re working on another way to complete the verification process and will keep you posted on our progress.

Unfortunately, this does mean that you will be unable to complete your application at this time. The good news here is that Arro will never run a hard inquiry on your credit! So you can apply again once you have a supported institution.
